Manila indie music fans have waited a long time for this. And somewhere between their prayers and desperate calls for heed, some indie music God (in this case, Karpos Multimedia) must have taken notice because, fist-in-the-air yes, it's finally happening.

Can't get enough of: Passion Pit's Carried Away video

If there's another thing that indie electronic rock band Passion Pit is good at aside from making darn good music, it's making darn good music videos out of them. As a Valentines treat, the band released this official music video of Carried Away featuring Passion Pit's front man Michael Angelakos and the lovely actress, Sophia Bush. The video is a typical love story--a whirlwind romance between two people who fight as much as they are crazy for each other. At the end though, in the shade of the cacophony that is their relationship, the two find themselves buried underneath the rubble of all the harsh words they've ever thrown at each other. Literally.

A Valentines present from Jonny Pierce and Vogue

As a Valentines special, Vogue released a series of love songs for everyday of February leading up to the fourteenth. One of the artists who recorded with them is Jonny Pierce of The Drums, doing a stripped down version of a song from his forthcoming solo album to be released this year. He also took to his official Facebook page to announce that The Drums will be releasing their third album soon, saying: "oh and to clarify- The Drums are going STRONG. 3rd album starting soon. It will be grand." But whether this statement is his way of answering questions about Connor Hanwick leaving the band, we have yet to find out. I guess we all have to wait for the album to come out and see for ourselves.

Featured Artist: Identikit

Launching their debut album "Out of the Floodways and Into Your Homes" last February 2nd, the members of Identikit must be on pins and needles still with the good turn-out at the event. People danced, sang along with sweet, sweet Sandy and cheered. With the publicity and attention the band has been getting from the industry prior to the event, there was a lot of anticipation on how their first full-length album would fare. Their EP Saturday Morning Chemistry was named Best EP in 2011, and features about the band were here and there, but would the long-awaited album live up to the hype?

Bastille - "Pompeii"

On some days, you go about your normal routine of surfing the interwebs and you come across a song. You take a listen, and you are instantly drawn in as if it were love at first listen. Well, it probably was.

Bastille is a London-based indie rock/pop band founded by singer-songwriter Dan Smith. They only started out in 2010, but with their first two EP's attracting a lot of attention and forming a good fan base, Bastille was signed on to EMI under Virgin Records on December 2011. This comes as no surprise, though. Take a listen to their other songs and hopefully you'll understand why.
